Dr. Yannick Veilleux-Lepage’s book How Terror Evolves: The Emergence and Spread of Terrorist Techniques has been released by Rotman & Littlefield. Yannick, who hails from Ottawa ON, did his PhD in International Relations at the University of St Andrews and is now an Assistant Professor of Terrorism and Political Violence at the Institute of Security and Global Affairs at Leiden University, Netherlands. His book is based on his doctoral research which explores the process by which new techniques of political violence appear, transform, spread and disappear. It also examines the use of aircraft as weapons of destruction, from the first hijacking in 1930s Peru to the 9/11 attack in 2001.
