Keeping in Touch

From time to time, past CCSF scholars let us know about their recent achievements or forthcoming events. Rather than writing a formal news item, this page of our website will serve to share their success stories with all our supporters. News from the CCSF itself can still be found on our News page, and we encourage you to read our Student Profiles.

(If you are a past scholar and wish to bring some news to the attention of CCSF supporters, please email us a short paragraph, similar to those below, preferably with a link to further information. Thank you!)

From Eve Daniell (CCSF Scholar 2013, 2015): Soprano Eve Daniell will be performing at various venues in British Columbia during the summer of 2018. She will mark her Vancouver professional debut with a mid-summer afternoon concert at Christ Church Cathedral on Sunday, July 22nd 2018 at 3pm (doors open 2.30pm) singing a number of songs from England, France, Germany and Italy. Performing with her will be South African-born collaborative artist, Rykie Avenant, who now calls the Cowichan Valley home. Admission is by donation. Please visit Eve’s website for details of all her performances in BC. Posted: 6 July 2018

From Louis-David Lord (CCSF Scholar 2016): I wanted to share the news that I have recently been selected to attend the 68th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting where 43 Nobel Laureates in Physiology & Medicine will be in attendance. This follows a multi-step international selection process where 600 PhD students and post-docs were selected from a pool of 20,000 applicants. Here is a link for further information. I look forward to attending this unique and prestigious scientific gathering, and thank you again for your amazing support towards my doctoral studies.
